DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers have officially announced their deal with one year of Magglio Ordonez.
The Tigers do not announce contractual clauses Friday. A person familiar with the negotiations told the Associated Press Thursday that Ordonez and tigers accepted a $ 10 million, one-year contract. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the agreement had not been announced.
Detroit has decreased $ Ordonez October 15 million option, but will now have the All-star six times if return after he broke his right ankle in July. Ordonez hit calibre.303 with 12 home runs in 84 games last season.
The Tigers have been busy this shoulder, adding catcher Victor Martinez and analgesic Joaquin Benoit.
