It is a promise that Hopkins kept for 16 years and one day.

On Saturday evening, Hopkins has used his passport to a struggle for the second time in his career.

It was heavier: back then he won the world title in a match revenge and held for 11 years and 20 tusks. The price of this time was the WBC Light Heavyweight title.

He was older. At that time, it was less than a month later turning 30. This time it was closer to 60 30 years of age.

At least one judge had Hopkins, winning all other control tower. Steve Morrow was Hopkins eight of the ten remaining towers to a 114-112 victory. Claude Paquette gave Hopkins seven towers for a circulation of 113-113.

In the end of the Mercado, a judge who was generous with series of 10-10 has made the difference. Daniel Van de Wiele saw the tenth round, apparently dominated by Hopkins, as even.

He also held a round, a series of 10-9 despite the knockdown Pascal, which means that it would be same without the deduction of a point for the knockdown.

The result is a map of 114-114 and a raffle for the majority. Unofficial dashboard of AHN has 114-112 for Hopkins.
